    Our Story

We've been involved in care technology for many years and we know the benefits that the right solutions can bring.

In 2011 we set up Avon Telecare to provide care technology directly to the public and we developed real expertise working at the practical end of delivery. It soon became clear that there were major barriers to uptake: people didn't know that care technology existed and they didn’t know what it could do, they didn't like technology and they didn't expect to pay for services. Quite a challenge!

We moved to providing training and services to care providers, local authorities, the NHS, housing associations and colleges. Some really took it on board but many were too hard-pressed to make real changes. It became clear that the top-downa pproach was not going to create the change we were looking for.

We set up t-care in 2019, rebranding to Caretecs when we realised there were search engine issues with the name t-care. We are building from the

bottom up, spreading the word through social media and presentations.

    Our

To build a national network of

    skilled care technicians

    Ambition

    Avebury stones.jpeg

If we can raise awareness of care technologies so many people will benefit. If there is someone nearby who can advise, set things up and look after people, then care technology becomes

    practical and accessible.

    Interested?

We are looking for people willing to work in their local community. We can help with training and support to help you bring real benefit to your local community, and potentially build yourself a small business.

If you are already a business, for example an electrician, and you already install care technology such as sensors and alarm systems, home automation systems, medication management devices or telephone and video systems we’d like to hear from you. The network needs skilled installers to call on right across the country.
